Before transcripts can be submitted to a College, the student needs to make sure the College(s) to which they want to apply are present on the "My Colleges" tab.
After academic and personal interests are entered, and the College stats reviewed, simply click the My Colleges plus sign to add this College to your 'favorites' or 'following'.
Once the selection is made, this College will appear on the My Colleges Tab in your SCOIR.
This tab allows Students to pick up to 6 'Favorite' Colleges that they intend to apply to, and an unlimited amount of 'Following' Colleges that may interest them.
Clicking on the Star will add and/or remove Colleges from your 'Favorites' group.
Once a College has been added to 'Favorites' or 'Following' a Student has the ability to click on the 'I plan on applying to this school' button which will then move the College to the 'Applications' tab.
Here the Student needs to confirm that an application was submitted to the College.
Other application information will need to be completed, such as the method used to complete the application and the type. If an on-line application is completed on the school site, the Common Application ID will be needed.
The Common App ID (CAID) number is located at the top of each page within the online application. If your school is using SCOIR to send your transcripts, you will need your Common App ID to request the transcripts.
Next click Submit.
Upon clicking Submit, SCOIR will forward a message to your Counselor that documents need to be sent to this College on your behalf. Students can return to the 'Applications' tab at any time to review the status of documents.
